Happy Autumn Thoughts to You!

Well, for those of you here in the Nashville area, it hasn't felt very much like Autumn, eh? We're still wearing shorts and tee-shirts around the house...and waiting until evening to get out. Man, it's been in the 80's and that's just a tad too warm for flannel, wool, or fleece-lined anything! Even simple long sleeves!

Anyway, a front is moving through, it is drizzling, and it is SUPPOSED to cool off to more Fall-ish weather. Hmmmm...anybody for a pot of beef stew?

It is that time of year where I just want to slow life down--say, half speed?--and enjoy what the Lord has sent my way. Summer is fun, fun, fun til your daddy took your T-bird away! And as it melts into Autumn, school craziness sets in and life whirls even faster. Right about now my heart craves a breather...and for some reason, cooler weather makes me think that there is a blessed moment of rest right around the next corner. A moment when I can sit and sip a chai and chat with a friend and....accomplish "nothing" (tongue in cheek!)...

Here are some Autumn beauties--and they have me ready to go on a photo safari back to my favorite farmers' market!!

These monsters are massive--I really don't think I could pick one up by myself!

Can't post about Autumn without Indian Corn, eh?! By the way, ALL of this lovely produce was found at our local Farmers' Market in downtown Nashville--you've just GOTTA give it a try if you haven't been down!
