Somehow, in the photographer-side of my mind, this has become my favorite time of year. The ordinary scenes are totally transformed with such wild colors--why, even a kindergartener wouldn't color a tree RED! And it isn't even the least bit garrish or tacky, either, like it would be if one of us tried our hand at re-coloring the world. Purple and red and brown and gold and green and maroon and orange and...
Truly the One who made it all is an artiste extraordinaire, n'est ce-pas?!

I am including "My Lady of the Bowed Head"--she's one of my favorites from Mt. Olivet--in all of her mossy, licheny glory here. She's since been scrubbed clean by some do-gooder (Rats!) and no longer sports the lovely green and rust coloring. I almost cried when I saw her scrubbed smooth and only in shades of gray...Anyway, I include her today because I've had a HA for two days now--NOT that I think her pose is headache-generated! But, she could have modeled for a tylenol commercial with this pose, couldn't she have?! Now I'm off to find some caffeine--no, I meant to say breakfast, honestly, I did. I'm off to find something to eat, to eat, to eat--hmmmm, does one eat chai tea when it is double strength? I mean, there IS a spoon involved to some degree...
